QuranDonation3The Islamic Society of CNY would like to extend sincere thanks to the Institute of Islamic Information and Education (III&E) of Chicago, Illinois for the generous donation of 50 Qurans (Yusuf Ali – English translation). In the course of a conversation regarding sourcing materials for ISCNY’s New Muslim packs, III&E director Umar Ali promptly opened the dawah material storage and donated the Qurans to our program endeavor. Ali also extended contact information for Al Furqan which distributes free Qurans so ISCNY has the means to continue offering this gift to new shahadas.

The Qurans are part of an initiative to gift new converts basic items and educational materials that will help them learn the fundamentals of Islam. New Muslim Packs will include essentials such as a Quran, prayer mat, hijab, booklets on how to make wudu,  prayer (salah) and reading about the five pillars of Islam. We are still in the process of collecting all the items to complete the packs, inshAllah the goal is to have them ready for distribution by the end of September.

The Institute of Islamic Information and Education (III&E) is dedicated to the cause of Islam in North America by providing accurate information about Islamic beliefs, history and civilization from authentic sources for Muslims and non-Muslims. III&E was established in Chicago, Illinois in 1985 with the comprehensive project of conveying the message of Islam to everyone in North America.
