Khateeb ClassCalling all future khateebs & public speakers! Sign up now for classes on how to prepare and deliver a khutbah or presentation. This interactive class will allow you to learn the components of delivering a strong khutbah or lecture.

Is your speech relevant, meaningful, eloquent, well researched and does it reference authentic sources? Students can research and write a speech on a topic of their choosing. There is no pressure; everyone will work at his/her own pace.

This class is FREE and open to the community, students can register their first day of instruction. All experience levels welcome.
The class facilitator will help students using the following presentation/khutbah goals:

OBJECTIVES
+ Khutba protocol & rules Khutba outline and objectives
+ How to utilize Quran, Hadith, & Seerah in khutbahs
+ Khutba + Speech outline & objectives
+ Selecting relevant topics
+ Communicating to diverse audiences
+ Body Language & presentation skills
+ Effective communication and public speaking techniques

The Public Speaking Class is simultaneously conducted alongside our Khateeb Class so that sisters can not only benefit from the components of the Khateeb Class, that are applicable to any public speaker in Islam, but also, attend exclusive sessions given by sisters for sisters so that they can learn from the experience and education of female leaders in our community.

Maryam, Hajar, Khadijah, Ayesha, these are a few names of some of the greatest motivators, educators, and role models in Islam. The objective of the Sister’s Public Speaking Class is to equip women with the tools, confidence, and resources required to speak about Islam in their MSA, school, community or interfaith presentations.

The Islamic Society of CNY administrators, staff, teachers and other representatives will not be held responsible for any incident or accident that may occur in the masjid premises, during or before and after classes.

Parents/Guardians are responsible for prompt drop offs and pick ups, the masjid will not facilitate any supervision or minors other than during class or program hours.

Students are responsible for their own belongings, ISCNY will not be responsible for lost or damaged items.
